Forums & Committees

The IFA Board of Directors shall have the power to create committees, advisory groups and task forces for the Association, define their functions, and terminate any such committee or advisory group.   The IFA Chair shall appoint the committee Chair, Vice Chair, and members.  Each committee and advisory group shall perform the functions specifically prescribed by the Board of Directors or which are properly within the jurisdiction of such committee or advisory group.  (IFA Bylaws)

Nominating Committee

The goal of the IFA Nominating Committee is to recommend candidates to serve on the IFA Board of Directors and as Elected Officers (Chair, First Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, and Secretary) of the Association.

Past Chair's Council

The goal of the IFA Past Chair's Council is to discuss matters of interest to past IFA chairs.

Social Sector Franchising

The Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association (IFA) has established a task force to explore leveraging the methods used in Commercial Franchising to benefit those organizations serving the Bottom of the Pyramid.

Supplier Forum

The goal of the Supplier Forum is to promote the continued growth of franchising through a network of informed suppliers dedicated to superior service and professionalism, and to better support members of the franchising community with high-quality products, new technologies, and educational opportunities.

VetFran Committee

The goal of the IFA Foundation VetFran Committee is to provide strategic direction to the VetFran program.

Women's Franchise Committee

Formed in 1996, the Women's Franchise Committee (WFC) is dedicated to inspiring and encouraging women in franchising by creating a network of business professionals dedicated to strengthening the success of women in franchising. The WFC has created a number of programs and resources in order to achieve this goal, ranging from "how to" guides and conferences to local networking chapters.
