Melissa Chang is an accomplished learning and development professional with over a decade of experience driving impactful education strategies and fostering leadership excellence. As the Director of Education at the International Franchise Association (IFA), Melissa leads initiatives to empower franchise professionals through innovative learning solutions, leadership development programs, and transformative educational experiences.

Before joining the IFA, Melissa served as Head of Learning for KFC US and Yum! Brands, where she developed and implemented a comprehensive learning strategy impacting over 100,000 restaurant employees. She successfully led initiatives focused on operational efficiency, job role training, and leadership development while building strong partnerships with franchisees, executive leadership, and global teams.

Melissa brings extensive expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, curriculum strategy, and leadership development. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to align education programs with business goals, driving both measurable performance improvements and organizational success.

Melissa holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and Organizational Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Louisville.
