Jani-King; 50 Years as The King of Clean

Franchise Opportunities
Jani King

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, Jani-King stays true to its winning concept that has kept the company and its franchisees at the top of the commercial cleaning industry.  “It’s always been about our franchise owners having the pride to produce results through their performance,” said Jerry Crawford, CEO and President of Jani-King International.  “There is no better service than that which is provided by someone with a vested interest.  It’s this commitment to customer satisfaction that sets Jani-King apart from conventional cleaning companies.”

There’s no doubt the People, Pride, Performance concept has worked for Jani-King.  Founded in Norman, Oklahoma in 1969, the company now boasts support offices and franchisees in 10 countries. Its franchisees service a wide range of customer facilities including offices, hotels, hospitals, stadiums, schools, manufacturing facilities, restaurants, retail centers and so much more.  The commercial cleaning industry continues to grow and shows no signs of slowing down.

According to the latest statistics from the United States Department of Labor, employment of janitors and building cleaners is projected to grow seven percent from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations. Many new jobs are expected in industries such as administrative and support services, educational services, and healthcare.

Jani-King has experienced growth in many areas including those mentioned above. In the healthcare field for instance, Jani-King has kept pace with government regulations and developed environmental services programs for infection control and cleaning to reduce the number of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI’s).  Another area of growth for Jani-King has been in the stadium and event facility market where the company now has more than 70 partnerships with professional and collegiate sports organizations.

Benefiting from Jani-King’s efforts and programs are not only their customers, but their franchisees.  Jani-King franchisees have a number of resources available to them including training for specialty accounts such as hospitals and hotels.  Additionally, Jani-King employs experts in those fields, as well as in operations and sales, so that its franchisees have opportunities to grow their businesses.

When we take a look back on Jani-King’s 50-years of success in the commercial cleaning franchise industry, it’s clear that the path has been paved by people, pride and performance.  From its founder and executives at the corporate headquarters to local support experts to unit franchisees, the company has built a foundation that is poised for another 50 years of results for customers around the globe.
