April 29, 2025 — Mayor John Whitmire, joined by U.S. Navy Admiral Daryl Caudle, Commander of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command, recently announced that the City of Houston will host Navy Fleet Week later this year in the Port of Houston, in collaboration with Houston First Corporation, Discovery Green, and other partners.

Fleet Week Houston will take place November 5-12, 2025, and will be the first time any Texas city has hosted a Fleet Week.
