As Houston’s senior population continues to grow, owners Caleb Drew and Thazin Min Htet will offer professional family resources

HOUSTON – July 21, 2026 – Caring Senior Service, a non-medical, personalized home care services company, today announced it has opened a new office, located at 5600 NW Central Dr., Suite 210 in Spring Valley Village, a community in west Houston.

Meeting the Growing Need for Senior Care in Houston

Caring Senior Service in Houston West owners Caleb Drew and Thazin Min Htet are a husband-and-wife team committed to helping seniors retain their independence and age comfortably in their own homes. The pair are equally passionate about enriching the lives of family caregivers throughout their community by recognizing the vital role they play and providing them with resources, information and encouragement as they plan for the future of their aging loved ones.

Houston’s growing senior population continues to increase the need for reliable in-home services. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, adults age 65 and older make up about 12.3% of Houston’s population, creating a greater demand for personalized senior support solutions.

Turning Personal Experience into Purpose

Prior to opening the business, Drew worked as an industrial engineer, and Htet worked as a legal assistant. Together, their professional backgrounds and deeply personal experiences supporting aging family members inspired them to pursue this profession and help families navigate the aging journey.

“My wife and I chose Caring Senior Service because of the people and the company’s commitment to high-quality services,” Drew said. “We’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming caring for a loved one can be for families. As my grandmother aged, my whole family played a role in making sure she received the assistance she needed. Having a third party who can lighten that load throughout the aging process would have changed our lives for the better and allowed us to enjoy our time with her more.”

Htet’s passion for caregiving stems from helping her grandfather in Myanmar alongside her family. She said the experience showed her that serving a loved one can take an emotional and physical toll on families, which highlights the importance of having professional guidance.

“We want families to know they do not have to do this alone,” Htet said. “Caring for an aging loved one impacts every part of a family’s life. We hope to create a community where seniors are treated with dignity and their families feel comfortable reaching out when they need additional options. Our goal is to provide reliable assistance so both seniors and their loved ones feel comfortable exploring their options.”

Caring Senior Service founder and CEO Jeff Salter said the organization welcomes the couple into the company’s fold.

“Caleb and Thazin bring both compassion and purpose to Caring Senior Service in Houston West,” said Caring Senior Service founder and CEO Jeff Salter. “Their personal experiences and dedication to serving others make them a strong addition to the Caring Senior Service family. They understand the importance of dependable home care and the positive impact it can have on seniors and their loved ones.”
