We are especially encouraged by the provisions authorizing state regulators to establish examination and continuing education requirements for franchise brokers. We look forward to continuing to work with NASAA, the Federal Trade Commission and state regulators to promote sustainable franchise growth, protect prospective franchisees, and preserve the franchise model as a proven pathway to business ownership and economic opportunity for years to come.” In August 2025, IFA submitted comments to NASAA on the Model Act proposing clarifying amendments to accurately reflect the landscape of third-party franchise sellers and the practical circumstances related to franchisors’ use of those third-party franchise sellers. # # # About the International Franchise Association: Celebrating over 60 years of excellence, education, and advocacy, the International Franchise Association (IFA) is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide.
