Top Automotive Services Franchisor Drives Growth with New Franchisee Support Initiatives

ORLAND PARK, Ill. – Following an impressive growth year and just two months after entering Canada for the first time through an acquisitionMoran Family of Brands is building on that momentum by rolling out new initiatives designed to support franchisee performance and elevate the customer experience in 2026.

Moran Family of Brands had a productive 2025, during which it awarded 19 new franchises, opened seven new locations, and facilitated six resales tied to franchisee retirements. The company also achieved six-percent sales growth in 2025, marking its sixth consecutive year of upward growth across a portfolio of legacy automotive brands, which includes Alta Mere, Dr. Nick’s Transmissions, Milex Complete Auto Care, Mister Transmission, Mr. Transmission, Multistate Transmissions, and Turbo Tint.

Rather than prioritizing unit expansion alone, Moran Family of Brands is focused on improving franchisee performance, profitability, and operational consistency. A central component of this strategy is the continued integration of U.S.-based Mr. Transmission and Canada-based Mister Transmission. This effort is designed to align best practices, operational resources, and support programs across both countries while preserving local market strengths.

To support its system-wide focus in 2026, Moran Family of Brands is investing in new training, technology, and marketing initiatives designed to help franchisees operate more efficiently and develop talent.

  • Master Tech Program: Launched in January, this structured technician development program is designed to validate skills, reinforce consistent service standards, and create long-term career pathways within the brands. The program is expected to accelerate onboarding, reduce technician turnover, improve service quality, and support stronger unit-level economics.
  • AI-driven call analysis: Moran is leveraging AI tools to help franchisees better understand lead quality, identify missed opportunities, and improve conversion performance from inbound and outbound calls.
  • Expanded use of AI in marketing: The brand is enhancing its current use of AI within marketing platforms to improve local search visibility, online accuracy, and speed of response at the location level.
  • Creative Fund investment: Reinforcing the importance of building community relationships, Moran Family of Brands will continue investing in its Creative Fund to support consistent, high-quality creative campaigns across markets, helping strengthen brand recognition and customer trust.

“From the integration of our U.S. and Canadian transmission brands to launching innovative programs, this is an exciting time for our brand,” said Barbara Moran-Goodrich, CEO of Moran Family of Brands. “In 2026, our focus is on giving every franchise owner the tools, training, and resources they need to grow their business, better serve customers, and build businesses they are proud to operate and that our communities trust.”

Moran Family of Brands’ emphasis on brand integration and franchisee investment comes as the automotive aftermarket industry continues to grow, with the market forecasted to hit $664 Billion by 2028.
