Leading Franchisor of Automotive Services Celebrates Top-Performing Franchisees, Offers Education Sessions, and Prepares System for a Strong Year Ahead

Orland Park, Ill. – To celebrate its franchisees and promote continuous improvement, Moran Family of Brands, a leading franchisor of automotive services, recently hosted its 2025 convention in Charleston, SC. Complete with franchisee awards and recognitions, a keynote speaker, roundtable discussions, and education sessions, the brand is ensuring the entire system is set up for success for the year ahead.

Moran Family of Brands is the parent company of six individual brands including Mr. Transmission, Milex Complete Auto Care, Turbo Tint, Alta Mere, Multistate Transmissions, and Dr. Nick’s Transmissions.

Franchisee Awards & Recognitions:

  • Steve Sargent of Milex Complete Auto Care – Mr. Transmission in Cary, NC and Erich Overhardt of Turbo Tint in Delray Beach, FL received the Franchisee of the Year Award.
  • The Consumer Choice Award went to Eric and Richelle Grajo of Turbo Tint in Carrollton, TX and Mike and Jenny Moore of Milex Complete Auto Care – Mr. Transmission in Florence, KY.
  • Scott and Amy Pentecost of Milex Complete Auto Care – Mr. Transmission in Greenwood, IN and George and Evelynn Lugo of Turbo Tint in Metairie, LA were recognized with the Most Improved Performance Award.
  • The Rookie of the Year Award went to Chris Laverdure of Turbo Tint in Cary, NC and Mike and Jenny Moore of Milex Complete Auto Care – Mr. Transmission in Florence, KY.
  • Additional recognitions included the Legacy Award, celebrating franchisees who have been part of the brand for 30 years or more – an elite group representing 15% of the entire franchise system. The Million Dollar Club Award recognized franchisees who achieved $1 million or more in annual sales in 2024, accounting for 27% of the franchise network. Finally, the Top Sales Award highlighted multiple franchisees for their outstanding sales performance throughout the year.

The keynote speaker at this year’s convention was global business speaker, writer, and business coach, Scott Greenberg. His presentation highlighted the contents of his book, The Wealthy Franchisee. Drawing on his firsthand experience as a franchisee, he spoke about how to maximize profits, as well as customer and employee relationships. His session reinforced Moran’s commitment to providing franchisees with the tools to optimize the human elements of their operations and to grow into next-level enterprises.

In addition to the inspiring keynote address, educational sessions were held for both repair and tint brands. These sessions provided valuable knowledge, fostering skill development and enhancing the expertise of franchisees across both categories.

The convention also featured a variety of interactive learning opportunities to help franchisees strengthen their operations and drive growth. Franchise Advisory Board members led roundtable discussions, while Moran Family of Brands executives – Ron Frydrychowski (Chief Operating Officer), Everett Benson (Director of Training), and Amanda Maquet (Chief Marketing Officer) – led targeted breakout sessions. In addition, the event included a “Panel of the Pros,” hosted by Ron Frydrychowski, where top-performing franchisees shared best practices, lessons learned, and strategies for success.

To round out the convention, the executive team invited vendors to meet with franchisees and showcase the latest products, services, and innovations designed to support operational excellence and business growth.
