Details about the IFA and the Franchise Update Media Partnership

Last week the International Franchise Association and Franchise Update Media announced a landmark, 10-year partnership to deliver value, learning and two new franchising events in 2022 and beyond. This partnership accelerates International Franchise Association engagement with members as well as a broader cross section of the global franchising community.

In 2022 this partnership will deliver consolidated events focused on the Franchise Customer Experience – FranCX (June) and Franchise Leadership and Development (October).

Franchising is diverse and ever-present in communities across the world. Similarly, the franchise event and content landscape is jam-packed with opportunities to learn, network, buy and sell. With an eye toward the time and resource constrained individual (you), through this partnership the International Franchise Association and Franchise Update Media will endeavor to meet you where you are, maximize value, and collaboratively—with franchisors, franchisees, suppliers and partners—set the direction for the future of franchising. 

As Franchise Update Media CEO Therese Thilgen shared, “This gives us the opportunity to reimagine our Marketing and Development conferences to recognize the blurring of functional roles in franchise organizations, as leaders look to grow their brands and help their franchisees succeed.”
