INTERNATIONAL FRANCHISE ASSOCIATION LEADERS addressed strategic priorities for the association that will help members grow and thrive, and raised more than $185,000 in pledges for FranPAC, IFA’s Political Action Committee, during the 2013 Summer Meeting of the Board of Directors conducted June 9-11 in Chicago, Ill. The board, Franchisee Forum, Supplier Board Advisory Committee, IFA Educational Foundation and several other committees gathered to tackle these priorities.
Key areas of focus included how to continue efforts to mitigate the impact of the new health care law, the Affordable Care Act, the outlook for comprehensive immigration and tax reform and the status of state legislative efforts that could negatively alter the franchise model. The board also reviewed the status of the International Committee’s strategic plan and the work of the Franchise Relation’s Best Practices Task Force.
