Emma Kioko is a dynamic compliance professional with a proven track record in the fintech and financial services industries. With a strong background in regulatory strategy and operational risk management, she has helped support the delivery of millions of dollars in venture capital to startups and helps lead compliance operations for an investment adviser with over $4BN in assets under management.

Emma currently works as a Compliance Manager at AngelList. Prior to that she was on the Legal and Compliance team at Centerbridge Partners, LP, a private equity firm based in New York. Prior to that she was an Associate at JP Morgan Chase & Co.

Her expertise lies in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, implementing scalable operational processes, and bridging the gap between compliance, operations, and business growth. Emma has spearheaded innovative compliance solutions at companies like AngelList, where she most recently helped design and launch a novel regulatory filing product for investment advisers that hit $200K in ARR in its first-year post-launch.

Emma is excited to apply her expertise in compliance, risk management, and strategic leadership to the new entrepreneurial challenge of business ownership through franchising. She is particularly drawn to franchises in the restaurant or health, personal care and fitness industries. Emma holds an MA from Cornell University and a BA cum laude from Bryn Mawr College.
