First Day Homecare is the first and only homecare franchise in the US to specialize in pediatric in-home nursing services, also known as pediatric "Private Duty Nursing (PDN)." Private Duty Nursing is a benefit paid for by insurance companies and covers anywhere from 8 hours per day, up to 24 hours per day, of hourly skilled nursing care in the home for medically complex infants and children. In addition to this pediatric homecare offering, franchises can also provide traditional (non-medical) homecare, Medicare-Certified Home Health visits, and pediatric ABA therapy for children with autism.
