Franchise Development Team Invests in New Tools and Experience to Fuel Second-half Growth

TAMPA, Fla. – College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk & Moving®, the largest stress-free moving and junk removal franchise, is marking a productive first half of 2026, closing new franchise agreements in the first quarter and using the second quarter to lay the groundwork for a reimagined franchise development experience heading into Q3.

In Q1 2026, College H.U.N.K.S. signed two new franchise deals and completed one franchise resale, adding new ownership and continuing to grow its footprint across North America. The brand also strengthened its franchise development leadership in May with the addition of Eric Osborne as Director of Franchise Development, bringing an experienced leader on board to help guide the team’s efforts through the second half of the year. With Q1 development activity locked in, the brand shifted its focus in Q2 toward strengthening the infrastructure behind its franchise sales operation ahead of a bigger push in the second half of the year.

That work included the rollout of a new franchise sales process, a newly built website, updated development and marketing materials, and an enhanced end-to-end experience for prospective franchisees. These upgrades position the brand to carry that momentum into Q3.

“The first half of this year was about setting a strong foundation,” said Osborne. “We signed great new partners in Q1, and we used Q2 to rebuild our sales process, our website and our marketing materials from the ground up. As we roll all of that out this month, we’re giving prospective franchisees a stronger, more modern experience from their very first conversation with us, and we’re heading into Q3 more prepared than ever to accelerate our growth.”

Heading into the third quarter, College H.U.N.K.S. is positioning its franchise development team to build on the first half’s momentum. The brand continues to identify significant white-space opportunities across the U.S. and is currently prioritizing 15 open markets nationwide, including Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Cleveland, Indianapolis and New Orleans. The brand is actively seeking motivated, growth-oriented entrepreneurs to join its system.

“Growth has always been part of our DNA, but how we grow matters just as much as how fast,” said Nick Friedman, Co-founder of College H.U.N.K.S. “Twenty years in, we’re still investing in the people and systems that help our franchise partners succeed long after they sign. Eric joining our team and the work happening behind the scenes this year are part of that same commitment, and it has us more excited than ever about the entrepreneurs we’ll welcome into the system in the months ahead.”

College H.U.N.K.S. has built a reputation for its professional home-service operations and purpose-driven culture focused on leadership, customer experience and community impact. The brand is built on the H.U.N.K.S. acronym, which stands for Honest, Uniformed, Nice, Knowledgeable and Service, and these values remain at the center of its franchise growth strategy heading into the back half of 2026.
