D.C.’s woodfired favorite enters Georgia and expands across the MidAtlantic

Washington, D.C. – Timber Pizza Co., the award‑winning, neighborhood‑oriented pizza brand is building strong mid‑year momentum as it expands its franchise footprint, accelerates growth across key markets, and prepares to enter Georgia for the first time with planned locations in Alpharetta and Cumming.

This year, the brand announced its debut in the state, with both Georgia shops expected to open by late 2026 or early 2027 and additional territories across the greater Atlanta area now under consideration.

Timber also strengthened its Mid‑Atlantic presence, with key developments including:

  • New storefronts under development in Richmond and Alexandria, following strong demand generated by Timber’s mobile oven at local festivals and neighborhood events. Richmond is slated to open in Fall 2026, and the Alexandria location is in lease negotiations with a targeted Q2 2027 opening.
  • Established locations in McLean and Annapolis, both of which opened in 2024 and now serve as strong anchors for the region.
  • Active development deals and renewed interest across Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, and the Hampton Roads/Tidewater region.

“It’s been a great first half of the year for our growth and our continued focus on supporting franchisees. We’re thrilled with the progress and consistency across the system, and we’re excited for what the rest of the year will bring,” said Chris Brady, Cofounder of Timber Pizza Co. “Whether it’s a new market or a city we’ve served for years, people want quality, community, and a place that feels like home. That’s the foundation we’re building on as we continue to scale.”

In the first half of 2026, Timber Pizza Co. also made significant operational improvements that strengthened franchisee performance systemwide. The brand focused heavily on inventory management, ensuring every franchise partner had a stronger grip on COGS and labor, resulting in the best financial visibility and consistency the system has seen to date.

This year, the brand also celebrated several major recognitions. Timber Pizza Co. was included in Pizza Marketplace’s 2026 Top 100 Movers & Shakers, highlighting its accelerating franchise growth and rising national visibility. Timber Pizza Co. Annapolis was also named “Best Local Pizza 2026,” following its “Best New Restaurant 2025” honor from What’s Up Magazine.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Timber Pizza Co. is preparing to roll out a new loyalty program and introduce improvements that streamline the customer ordering experience across all locations. Timber Pizza Co. continues to see strong guest loyalty as customer expectations shift in a tighter economy.

“Regulars are coming back more often, and guest counts keep climbing as we stay focused on delivering a premium product at an approachable price and a warm, community‑driven experience,” said Luke Watson, CEO of Timber Pizza. “As we head into the end of the year, we’re committed to keeping that momentum going and opening more shops that carry the same welcoming, wood-fired charm that has made our D.C. locations true neighborhood staples.”

Known for its efficient operations and strong brand identity, Timber Pizza Co. offers a model designed to support thoughtful expansion while maintaining consistent guest experience. With momentum building and new markets on the horizon, Timber Pizza Co. continues to seek qualified franchise partners interested in bringing its community-centered concept to cities across the country.
