Inside the PuroClean franchise system, a group of seven Franchise Owners, fondly known as the “Young Guns,” is redefining what franchise growth can look like in the property damage restoration industry. PuroClean’s Impact Group program was designed to create connections, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This Impact Group is not defined by age, but by mindset—operators who have taken a corporate initiative and turned it into a real-time operating advantage.

A Franchise System Built for Real-World Execution

For Alejandro Restrepo PuroClean’s proven model removes one of the biggest barriers to growth. “We’re not building from scratch—we’re building on a proven platform.”

That platform allows Franchise Owners to focus more on refining execution, which is especially important to the Young Guns.

Melissa Wittig points to PuroLogic, PuroClean’s proprietary software system, as a core driver of that consistency. “It’s really the backbone of our daily operations… we’re seeing the ROI continue to increase.”

Using AI to Challenge “How It’s Always Been Done”

While many restoration contractors are still catching up with modern technology, the Young Guns are actively embracing it. Across the group, AI is embedded into daily operations with shared impact.

Ryan Back is applying it across communication and workflows. “We’re using it for insurer justification notes, estimate support language, and developing sales and marketing materials.”

“AI allows us to turn estimates really fast, which has noticeably improved our closing ratio,” Wittig explained.

Andy Tai focuses on speed and clarity. “We use AI in client communications, scope writing, and estimating. It helps us respond faster and communicate more clearly.”

For Restrepo, the impact extends into marketing strategy specifically. “We’re using AI to align messaging with real search behavior, seasonal risks, and local trends.”

Commercial Large Loss: Expanding What Franchise Owners Believe Is Possible

Exposure to commercial large loss opportunities has also driven momentum for the Young Guns.

“That experience challenged us to raise our standards, refine our processes, and think bigger about what’s possible within the PuroClean system,” Back says.

Drew Owens sees it as a fundamental mindset shift. “With the right processes in place, the ceiling for growth is much higher than it may initially appear.”

For Brian Towne, that shift became tangible through execution. “One of our most recent large loss projects will be almost four times what we did in revenue in our first full year in business.”

By sharing those experiences with each other in real time , the group accelerates their abilities to step into high-margin commercial large loss work.

From Corporate Initiative to Competitive Advantage

The Young Guns are leveraging PuroClean’s Impact Group program to take their property restoration businesses to the next level.

“Everyone genuinely leaves their ego at the door,” Michael Sobczak says. “It makes it easy to have open, honest conversations about what’s actually working and what isn’t.”

Owens adds, “Being surrounded by high-performing operators has raised my own standards.”

That dynamic of real-time problem-solving and shared execution is what transforms PuroClean’s culture into a true competitive advantage.
