Local entrepreneur Jason Heckendorf expands his growing daytime café footprint with a second location, following the success of Germantown’s top-performing Eggs Up Grill

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (Dec. 9, 2025) – Eggs Up Grill, a neighborhood favorite daytime cafe and the fastest-growing “better breakfast” restaurant franchise in the country, is now open in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The new restaurant, located at 5142 Goodman Road, Suite 101, is owned and operated by local entrepreneur Jason Heckendorf. Heckendorf also owns the Germantown, Tennessee, location, which stands out as the top-performing Eggs Up Grill nationwide.

Heckendorf first opened his Germantown restaurant in June 2023 and quickly earned a devoted following for its fresh, made-to-order meals and welcoming atmosphere. With the addition of the Olive Branch location, he plans to bring the same spirit of hospitality to families, schools, churches and local organizations throughout North Mississippi.

Heckendorf operates the restaurant in partnership with Ken Bates, a 36-year restaurant veteran and multi-unit Eggs Up Grill franchisee who recently opened the brand’s milestone 100th location, as well as partner Lamar McCubbin.

A resident of East Memphis, he says the most rewarding part of his work is seeing the growth of his team members and the community they serve.

The new Olive Branch restaurant features Eggs Up Grill’s signature neighborhood atmosphere, seating for up to 100 guests and a full menu of classic favorites including omelets, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches, along with burgers, melts and salads for lunch. Catering services are available for local schools, businesses and community gatherings. This is a key area of focus as the Olive Branch team looks to foster community relations throughout DeSoto County.

A grand opening celebration that will include special promotions, giveaways and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for early 2026. Full details will be announced soon.
