Washington, D.C. – With the passage of the PPP Extension Act of 2021 today, the International Franchise Association released the following statement:

“On behalf of all franchise small business owners currently struggling during the COVID-19 health crisis, the IFA would like to thank Congress for its bipartisan support of the PPP Extension Act of 2021,” said Matt Haller, SVP of Government Relations and Public Affairs. “This critical legislation will help to keep countless workers employed all across the country and offers our nation its best chance at making a full recovery.” 

The passage extends the March 31st deadline by two months, to May 31st, to help businesses keep their workforce employed during the current health crisis. 

Last week, the International Franchise Association along with 93 other organizations sent a letter to Congress signaling their support for the extension. Full letter can be found here.
