IFA Applauds Legislation Promoting Association Health Plans
WASHINGTON, April 10—The International Franchise Association, the oldest and largest organization representing the franchise industry, applauded Sen. Michael Enzi (R-WY) for introducing legislation aimed at establishing additional criteria for determining when employers can band together to offer group health plans.
“We are pleased Sen. Enzi is paving the way for small businesses to utilize association health plans and make the delivery of health care products and services more affordable for franchise owners, employees and their customers,” said IFA SVP of Government Relations & Public Affairs Matt Haller.
IFA has long supported association health plans, arguing that it would increase small business owners’ ability to provide affordable health insurance for their employees.
