Every year, the International Franchise Association publishes a comprehensive report highlighting the economic impact franchising has on the US economy. Our data for 2017 showed that there are 733,000 franchise establishments that support nearly 7.6 million jobs, $674.3 billion of economic output for the U.S. economy, and 2.5 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

New York is home to 29,000 franchises. and franchising supports nearly 305,000 jobs, a massive $34 billion of the state’s’ economic output, and $22 billion of their Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
