IFA calls on Senators to confirm Kirstjen Nielsen as Secretary of Homeland Security 


WASHINGTON, Dec. 5—International Franchise Association President & CEO Robert Cresanti released the statement below ahead of a Senate vote to confirm Kirstjen M. Nielsen as the next Secretary of Homeland Security:


“Since the days when Kirstjen and I worked together in the U.S. Senate, she has been thoughtful and devoted to excellence. As we continue to face challenges, we look forward to working with Kirstjen on issues that impact franchising and positioning the United States as the ideal place for people to do business. I cannot think of a better choice for this highly important role.”
