IFA Applauds Congress for Passing 2018 Budget and Paving Way for Tax Reform


WASHINGTON, Oct. 26— International Franchise Association Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs Matt Haller issued the following statement applauding the House and Senate for completing the budget reconciliation process and paving the way for Congress to deliver historic tax reform:


“We appreciate the work of Congressional leaders for passing the 2018 budget resolution which paves the way toward tax reform for Americas 733,000 franchise owners and nearly 8 million workers. Putting more money in Americans pocketbooks will help the economy grow at a higher rate for generations to come. With more money in their pockets, business owners can hire more employees, expand operations, open more locations, and give more back to their communities.


“We look forward to working with congressional leaders to ensure franchise small businesses see lower effective tax rates as part of tax reform that will allow them to remain competitive and realize untapped economic growth.”
