IFA Applauds Appointment of Philip A. Miscimarra as acting chairman of the NLRB
WASHINGTON, Jan. 27—International Franchise Association President & CEO Robert Cresanti released the statement below applauding President Trump for appointing Republican Philip A. Miscimarra as acting chairman of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
“This is an encouraging first step for small business owners everywhere who have faced perpetual uncertainty in the wake of decisions by the NLRB that have curtailed investment and job creation by our members, particularly related to the new, destructive and contrived joint employer standard. While the Board can still function with three members, we urge President Trump to quickly nominate two new board members to the Senate for expeditious confirmation to ensure more balance can be brought to the labor board before more damage is done to small businesses and the economy.”
