MARIANNE P. MURPHY RECEIVES IFA’S WOMEN’S FRANCHISE COMMITTEE CRYSTAL COMPASS HONOR


NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 22, 2014—Marianne P. Murphy, CFE, Floor Coverings International director of operations, is the International Franchise Association’s Women’s Franchise Committee recipient of the Crystal Compass. The Crystal Compass signifies outstanding leadership and is bestowed today during the association’s 54th Annual Convention.


Murphy is veteran of franchising with more than 25 years of experience. She joined Floor Coverings International in 2011. The company is a leading North American in-home design, floor coverings brand.


Prior to joining the company, Murphy served for 23 years with HouseMaster Home Inspections, a North American home inspection franchise. She was responsible for sales training, field support and implementing many marketing programs.


Murphy is an active participant in IFA, having received the designation of Certified Franchise Executive, and served previously on the IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee. Throughout her career in the real estate and franchise industries, she has addressed numerous audiences on topics ranging from selling in down markets to the power of connecting.


The award is presented annually to an individual within the franchise community who epitomizes the ideals of leadership and has earned a reputation for leadership. Those chosen for this honor have made significant contributions within their respective franchise organizations, the franchise community in general and in their local communities.
