 IFA APPLAUDS HOUSE REPUBLICAN ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY ADVANCING IMMIGRATION REFORM

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2014—In response to today’s release of principles for immigration reform by House Republicans, International Franchise Association President & CEO Steve Caldeira released the following statement:

“Franchise businesses across the country appreciate the continued efforts of House Republicans to find a solution to our nation’s broken immigration policy. Small businesses need reform that provides flexibility to meet variable labor force needs so they can best serve their customers, while enabling much-needed job creation to strengthen the U.S. economy. Today’s announcement moves the ball down the field on this critical issue. We are hopeful that Congress can work together in a bi-partisan manner to pass pro-growth immigration reform in the coming year so that small businesses can do what they do best, which is creating jobs.”
