Franchising World October 2011
Franchise business people who need pertinent information on the franchise industry and important issues affecting their businesses have been able to find it at
www.franchise.org
, the International Franchise Association’s Web site. Now those same leaders can find the information they need by visiting three new microsites, launched in September, which are dedicated to such critical issues as:
-
Health Care Reform -
Small Business Lending -
VetFran
IFA’s Health Care Reform Center, franchise.org/healthcare/, serves as an important resource for association members to learn more about the health care reform law and how it will affect their businesses. For example, visitors can find “The Effects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on the Franchise Industry,” a study conducted by the Hudson Institute for IFA, which includes case studies that show how different franchise businesses are likely to be affected once the employer mandates take effect.
The Small Business Lending Hub, available at smallbusinesslendinghub.com, provides news, information and technical assistance on capital access. The microsite is a valuable resource for franchisees, franchisors and franchisees, as well as lenders and providers and includes small-business advocacy and credit access success stories. An introductory training webinar for franchisees and franchisors, “Becoming Bank Ready,” was offered Oct. 12 and will be repeated Nov. 15.
VetFran.com provides news and information on franchising opportunities for military veterans and their families. Launched during the 12th Annual IFA Public Affairs Conference in September, the site features information on the Help Veterans Own Franchises Act and how you can help our returning veterans join our industry.
