IFA Chairman and Franchise Executive Attend Obama Speech as Guests of House Speaker

In advance of President Obama’s speech on Sept. 8 to a joint session of Congress to lay out his jobs program, John “Jack” Earle, the managing partner of Earle Enterprises LP and IFA chairman; and Gordon Logan, CEO of Sport Clips, a franchise with 810 establishments in 38 states, sat and listened to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-7-Va.) and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-22-Calif.). Earle and Logan were invited by House Speaker John Boehner as guests to listen to the President’s speech from the Speaker’s box in the House.
IFA also called on the Obama administration and congressional leaders to ensure pro-growth policies that boost job creation by franchise small businesses, such as increasing access to credit, repealing the employer mandate in the health care law and providing for long-term tax certainty for small business owners are included in any job creation-related legislative activities moving forward.
