Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s trade shows that were conducted earlier this month attracted nearly 700 exhibitors from 55 countries and regions who learned about the world of franchising. Its Solutions Hall included a “Start a Business” pavilion and the opportunity for attendees to better understand small-business creation through franchising.
The International Franchise Association brought 10 U.S. brands to the event to find Hong Kong business partners. Global Franchise Group Director of Development, Middle East, Asia/Pacific Dan Benton and Edwards Global Services CEO William Edwards, CFE, were among the franchise representatives who exchanged ideas with nearly 30 Hong Kong companies. The U.S. executives also expect to hold further talks with several of the Hong Kong companies on developing business opportunities in that country and on the mainland.
