Come to Washington, D.C. and tell your lawmakers about franchising.

NBC News Political Director and Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd will headline the International Franchise Association’s 11th Annual Public Affairs Conference Sept. 13-14 in Washington, D.C. Todd co-hosts TV network msnbc’s “The Daily Rundown” and is political analyst for “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” “Today,” “Meet the Press” and msnbc. He’s also responsible for the network’s political coverage, including contact with campaigns and is the point person for political news and information.

“We are thrilled to have Chuck Todd as our keynote speaker at the IFA Public Affairs Conference,” said IFA Chairman Kenneth Walker, CFE, chairman and CEO of Driven Brands. “As hundreds of Main Street franchise business owners descend on Washington this fall to meet with their lawmakers, Todd’s insight into the issues driving American politics and the upcoming election will help inform our members.”

Also editor of “First Read,” NBC’s guide to Washington political news and trends, Todd writes weekly analysis columns for  msnbc.com   and hosts online politics discussions on “Newsvine.” Before NBC, he was editor-in-chief of National Journal’s “The Hotline,” Washington’s premier daily briefing on U.S. politics. During his 15 years at “The Hotline” or one of its affiliates, Todd became one of Washington’s foremost experts on political campaigns. He also teaches graduate-level political communications at Johns Hopkins University.
The Public Affairs Conference is your opportunity to personally highlight to congressional leaders the importance of franchise small businesses to the U.S. economy and to the economic recovery of the country. Congress needs to hear, on a regular basis, about this vital industry which today includes more than 900,000 franchise businesses contributing $2.3 trillion in economic activity and providing more than 20 million jobs. During the event, IFA will name its “Legislator of the Year,” a member of Congress who has supported a pro-small-business agenda.

Your presence in Washington this fall will help make the industry’s premier grassroots event a success. Mark your calendars today for Sept. 13-14 for the conference at the JW Marriott Hotel. ADP, the event’s Founding Sponsor, also sponsors the IFA Franchisee of the Year Awards which recognize outstanding franchisees.
