Automotive Franchise Platform Advances 40 Locations Through Development, Construction, and Opening

GREENWOOD Village, Colo. — FullSpeed Automotive®, one of the nation’s largest franchisors and operators of automotive aftermarket repair facilities and home to flagship brands Grease Monkey® and SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service®, accelerated franchise development during the first half of 2026, signing 12 new franchise agreements, opening 11 locations, advancing 12 stores into construction and moving five additional locations into active real estate negotiations. Together, those milestones represent 40 locations across various stages of development as the company expands its footprint nationwide.

“The level of development activity we’ve seen during the first half of the year reflects the quality of the conversations we’re having with franchise candidates across the country,” said Tope. “More entrepreneurs are prioritizing opportunities that have proven long-term resilience and attractive markets still available. Those factors make automotive service an attractive category for investment.”

Development activity was led by Grease Monkey, which opened nine new locations during the first half of the year, including four locations in Billings, Montana. Additional openings included Laurel, Montana; Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Rexburg, Idaho; Valrico, Florida; and Woodlawn, Maryland. SpeeDee expanded its footprint with a new location in Moorhead, Minnesota.

The results build on FullSpeed Automotive’s network of more than 900 franchised and company-owned locations nationwide. The company remains focused on strategic expansion across Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and Texas. Population growth, strong vehicle ownership rates and sustained demand for automotive maintenance services make these markets attractive opportunities for franchise expansion.

Beyond new openings, FullSpeed Automotive further strengthened its development pipeline through new franchise agreements, signed leases and letters of intent across both brands during the first half of the year.

“Automotive maintenance will remain a fundamental consumer need for years to come,” said Tope. “The average American is keeping their vehicles longer because the cost of buying a new car is reaching an all-time high. At the same time, franchisees are looking for business models built around steady, recurring revenue streams, and that’s exactly what brands like Grease Monkey and SpeeDee can provide.”

Looking ahead, FullSpeed Automotive expects to open another 18 locations during the second half of 2026 as projects currently under construction move toward completion and development activity advances across both brands.
