Sportball is a leader in providing non-competitive sports instruction to children ranging in age from 16 months to 12 years.
Over the last 21 years, we have built a reputation for delivering high quality programming that enhances childhood physical literacy in a fun and interactive session that kids look forward to every week.
Sportball Multi-Sport programs encouraging healthy, active living starting with our Junior and Parent and Child Classes - By applying our educationally based methodology, we help the youngest children to develop socially as well as physically, through a curriculum designed to reinforce self-confidence free from the pressure of competition. Using creative instruction and positive encouragement, our programs focus on the development of gross motor skills, along with balance, stamina, strength, co-ordination, and timing.
Our goal is to set kids up for a lifetime of active fun. We do that by “Coaching with Purpose”
Whether its teaching kids how to handle winning and losing or how to dribble a ball; everything we do, in every class, is for a reason. For instance, all classes follow the same structured format, beginning with warm-ups, progressing to skill development, and then finishing up with games – because we know that kids perform better when they know what to expect.
Because we want kids to get in the game and stay in the game, we focus on the fundamentals, like proper form, continually assessing individual “baseline skills” and using simple instructions, keywords and clear visual instructions to break down movements according to developmental capability. “Refine, rehearse, repeat” is our mantra because it works. It’s not long before “big kicks” and “goalie kicks” become “trap-roll-kick” and “goalie scoops & rolls.”
There is a growing awareness globally as to the need to get kids active and engaged. Growing awareness creates the potential for growing demand and Sportball is well positioned to take advantage of that growth.
At Sportball we all share one common interest and commitment. To try to make a difference in child’s lives. We do that one child at a time and one class at a time. It is not a convenient turn of phrase – It is a guiding principle in our business.
Ours is a home based opportunity thereby limiting ongoing external office operating expenses. We run programs in Community Centres, Child Care Spaces, Schools, Places of Worship and Green Spaces.
The financial commitment to become a Sportball Franchisee is a comparatively small one. The investment in heart and passion and hard work is a little bigger. Like any small business you have to dedicate yourself to the process of building your business – this takes time and it passion and it takes commitment.
Thanks for your interest in learning more about Sportball. We are passionate about what we do and hope that we have the opportunity to share that passion with you.
