Coordinator, International Affairs
Patrick Pitts is Coordinator, International Affairs and Executive Assistant to IFA President & CEO Robert Cresanti. Patrick is responsible for handling Robert’s schedule, arranging travel, coordinating meetings, and overall ensuring smooth-sailing for IFA’s Leadership and Board Members. At Robert’s side, he has engaged with key industry stakeholders including Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta and House E&W Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R – NC – 5). Patrick also supports the international affairs team, helping to arrange IFA sponsored Trade Missions in 2018 with the US Commercial Service, developing relationships with external stakeholders such as OPIC who could provide lending services to IFA members looking to enter developing markets, and providing research to members seeking to understand changes in regulatory environments, such as the passage of the Fair Work Amendment in Australia in 2017.
Patrick joined IFA in May of 2017 as an intern after previously interning on the Hill for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D – NY). He attended both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in England, obtaining his BA with Honors in International Relations from the University of Birmingham in 2015, and his MSc with Distinction in International Relations from the London School of Economics in 2016. He enjoys traveling, and in 2016 completed the Trans-Siberian journey from London to Beijing by train, as well as a two-week trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal.
