John Kersh

Chief International Development Officer

John is the Chief International Development Officer for Xponential Fitness, a rapidly-growing multi-brand franchisor in the health and wellness space, with brands including Pure Barre, Club Pilates, CycleBar, StretchLab, Row House, AKT and Yoga Six. John is responsible for the global expansion of all Xponential Fitness brands.

Previously, John was the Chief Development Officer for Pure Barre, a world leader in boutique fitness franchising with nearly 500 locations in the USA and Canada. Before its acquisition by Xponential Fitness, Pure Barre was a portfolio company of L Catterton, a premier private equity firm in the consumer retail space.

From July 2008 - February 2017, John was the Vice President of International Franchise Development for Self-Esteem Brands, the franchisor of healthy lifestyle brands Anytime Fitness and Waxing the City. Anytime Fitness is the world's largest chain of fitness clubs, with over 3,500 locations open on 5 continents, was ranked #1 on Entrepreneur Magazine's annual list of Top Global Franchises in 2015 and 2016.

Prior to joining Self-Esteem Brands in 2008, John spent 3 years developing a start-up franchise in Brazil called Citrus Gym. From 1992 until 2004, John was the Director of International Development for the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA),

John began his career in 1989 working in the hospitality industry as the Director of Convention Services for the Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau.

John is a member of the International Committee of the International Franchise Association (IFA), an IFA FranShip Mentor, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University.
