At MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, we love to have fun, and yet, we couldn’t be more serious about the food we serve. We’re talking fresh-baked buns, never-frozen beef, hand-cut fries, real ice cream shakes and other delicious nouns preceded by quality-assuring adjectives. We’re a place where Certified Angus Beef® and a chalkboard drawing wall can comfortably coexist. Because we believe having high-quality food doesn’t require you to have a low-quality personality.
We’re as fresh as we are fun. As intelligent as we are imaginative. As picky as we are playful. Put simply, we believe making seriously good food doesn’t have to be such serious business.
MOOYAH was founded by industry veterans Rich Hicks and Todd Istre in 2007 in Plano, TX. Our very first restaurant was a franchise location, and we’ve continued to grow the brand with passionate and dedicated franchise partners ever since. In 2013 we opened our first international restaurant in Dubai and celebrated our 50th location. In 2016, we debuted a new menu featuring 100% Certified Angus Beef and added all-natural grilled and hand-breaded crispy chicken to complement our all-natural turkey and black-bean veggie options. We also opened our 100th restaurant with a nation-wide celebration, and can now be found in 19 states and 10 countries.
We’ve racked up a few accolades along the way. MOOYAH has been ranked on Fast Casual’s Top Movers and Shakers list for eight consecutive years and is ranked 2nd in Best Fast Casual Restaurant Franchise Company on Franchiserankings.com. Most recently in 2017, MOOYAH was named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 list and Franchise Time’s Fast & Serious list that ranks the smartest-growing brands.
