BURLINGAME, Calif. – Junk King, the nation’s top-rated junk removal and hauling company, hosted its 10th annual franchise conference and awards ceremony in Cocoa Beach, Florida, from February 7-11.

After celebrating the 2021 conference virtually, the Junk King franchise system was able to gather again in person to recap the past 12 months and look ahead to 2022. Fittingly, the theme of the conference was “Truckloads of Opportunities”, focusing on the brand’s growth goals to make Junk King the top junk removal concept in its space through new marketing initiatives, operational advancements and an emphasis on national accounts. In 2021, Junk King surpassed $100 million in revenue and added more than 500 trucks and 45 dumpsters to the system, contributing to its massive growth. 

Throughout the week, corporate team members shared presentations with the franchise system on what’s to come for the brand’s systemwide growth, and franchisees had the opportunity to participate in panels to both teach and learn from fellow owners in the system. There were also several roundtable sessions, allowing for franchisees to personally connect with each other on various topics such as advertising, networking and business management.

To cap off the conference, several franchisees were presented with various awards to acknowledge their achievements over the past year. A total of 23 awards were given in 12 categories.

  • Best Transfer – Salt Lake City and Houston North
  • Most Improved – Baton Rouge, Miami North, Kansas City, Portland, Middlesex + Maryland Northshore
  • Most Outstanding – Denver North
  • Highest Revenue – Cincinnati   
  • Team Player – Atlanta North, Cranberry Township and Middlesex
  • Good Samaritan – Raleigh and Gold Country
  • Customer Service Awards – Denver North, Orange County, Detroit Metro, Northern Kentucky and Chattanooga
  • King of Dumpsters – Middlesex + Maryland Northshore
