SCHOOL OF ROCK TAMPA NORTH IS READY TO ROCK N’ ROLL

May 19, 2021

Tampa, Fla.– May 19, 2021 – School of Rock, a leader in performance-based music education, announces the grand opening of a new school in North Tampa. The grand opening will take place at 11730 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL, 33618, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,  on Saturday, May 22. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), the event will offer live music by the School of Rock Tampa and St. Pete’s House Bands, school tours, free trial lessons, rock and roll hairstyling, professional rockstar photoshoots and special promotions on regular programs.

School of Rock Tampa North is owned by Chuck Roehm. Chuck came from a musical family and has always been a fan of rock n’ roll music, including Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Rush. When Chuck decided to trade his cello and trumpet for a pair of drumsticks at 13, he was discouraged by not finding friends who wanted to start a band. The desire to connect musically inclined kids together was his motivation in opening the School of Rock Tampa North location.

“We are excited to provide a unique musical experience and create an awesome learning environment for the kids and adults in the North Tampa community,” said Chuck Roehm. “I feel that it is important to open a venue like this to give kids a reason to put down the cell phones and video game controllers and pick up a guitar, bass, or any other instrument!”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“Chuck Roehm has a strong appreciation for music education, and he is passionate about teaching students through rock n’ roll,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “I’m confident he will be an excellent leader for the new School of Rock location in Tampa.”
