IFA CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT BIDEN, VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS ON INAUGURATION

January 20, 2021

(WASHINGTON, JAN. 20) – The International Franchise Association (IFA) today congratulated the 46th President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, and the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, on their inauguration.

IFA President and CEO Robert Cresanti said the following:

“IFA wishes President Biden and his administration the best as they set forth on a challenging course to repair cultural and political divisions, strengthen the economy, and overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

“While this election and transition were marred with heated rhetoric and violence, the peaceful transition of power is the bedrock of American democracy. While we will not always agree, it is incumbent on all Americans to work together constructively and cooperatively on our shared goal of creating a better country for future generations. IFA will do its part and looks forward to being a partner with the new Administration as we work to create greater equality of opportunity and stability.

“Additionally, IFA congratulates Vice President Harris on her historic accomplishments as the first female Vice President, the highest ranking female elected official in U.S. history, and the first Black and Asian-American Vice President. Her achievement is a testament to the American dream and a reflection of our country’s great strength of diversity.”

IFA represents America’s 733,000 franchise small businesses, who together employ more than 8 million Americans.
