ATLANTA (May 2, 2022) – Chicken Salad Chick, the nation's only fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, recently held its annual conference in Atlanta, gathering with franchise owners and company team members to celebrate the brand’s accomplishments and successes throughout 2021. The theme was “Reach New Heights,” which reflected the phenomenal year of sales and momentum Chicken Salad Chick has had and the growth opportunities ahead.

“All of our restaurant and company teams have gone above and beyond to serve our guests and their communities,” said Scott Deviney, President and CEO of Chicken Salad Chick. “This year’s conference was a wonderful chance to gather together and celebrate, collaborate and build upon our foundation for the future.”

In addition to multiple awards for top sales achievements, many franchise and company team members were honored at the Chicken Salad Chick 2022 Conference for the work they have been doing in their Chick communities and for the brand. Those awards included the following:

The Heart of a Champion award is given to those who live out the mission of the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation, showing full support for the Foundation’s efforts within their restaurant and their local community. Franchise owners Tim and Kelly Paslawski own multiple Chicken Salad Chick locations in South Georgia and find countless ways to support the needs of their communities and the key mission of the CSC Foundation in fighting cancer and feeding the hungry. In addition to supporting America’s Second Harvest and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, they raised over $6,000 in their community for CURE Childhood Cancer and are the reason the CSC Foundation has established an ongoing partnership with CURE.

General manager of Chicken Salad Chick of Jackson, Tennessee, Michelle Durbin was also recognized with the Heart of a Champion award for her support of the Giving Card program and the CSC Foundation. For the past three years, Durbin has helped to raise over $10,000 for the Regional Interfaith Association’s food bank and soup kitchen. She also works closely with an organization called Star Center that helps people with disabilities reach their potential by finding employment opportunities in her restaurant.

The Spirit of the Chick is awarded to the team and leader that embodies the spirit of service above self and embraces the opportunity to impact lives around them at a very high level. Emily Mobley and her company team at Chicken Salad Chick of Buford, Georgia, have had a wonderful culture since day one due to Mobley’s servant leadership and deep roots established in the community. Her passion for her team and engagement with guests has created a winning combination inside the four walls of this restaurant.

Emily Gray and her franchise team at Chicken Salad Chick of Benton, Arkansas, also won the Spirit of the Chick. Gray has built a strong culture and retained her employees by positively impacting lives inside the restaurant and out in the community. In addition to fun team building activities and a positive work environment, Gray makes sure the restaurant supports area schools, first responders, blood drives and other worthy organizations. The guests feel this energy, giving the Benton team friendliness scores that are nearly five point higher than the system average.

Finally, Chicken Salad Chick Owner of the Year was awarded to Scott and Julie Beville for their ability to meet and exceed standards including revenue, profitability, brand standards, community involvement, product and process adoption. The Bevilles own 17 Chick restaurants throughout North and South Carolina and live the brand day in and day out, representing Chicken Salad Chick as its finest ambassadors.
