Job Opening: Regional Advertising Sales Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: IFA is seeking a computer savvy, detail oriented, and high energy person to assist the Advertising Department with hitting its print and digital advertising revenue goals. This is a remote position that is responsible for managing all sales activities within an assigned territory. There is some travel required and the association covers travel expenses.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Act as a sales lead in an assigned territory. Responsible for managing sales budget, sales goals and administrative responsibilities related to maximizing sales in our print and digital marketing vehicles
  • Proactively manage his/her calendar to maximize daily responsibilities (including sales calls, administrative responsibilities and meetings)
  • Make high volume outbound sales calls and emails daily to the IFA franchisor and supplier membership.
  • Write copy and execute outbound e-blasts and mailings
  • Ability to manage deadlines and to operate with a sense of urgency
  • Responsible for collecting and submitting creative assets to the trafficking coordinator
  • Initiate conference calls and meetings (ideally scheduling them in Outlook calendar) with current and potential members to determine sales and marketing objectives, budget and timing.
  • Proactively research and identify new sales prospects, always having a top prospect list readily available
  • Utilize AMS database to track efforts, update contact details and create accurate sales projections.
  • Assist the Membership department with onboarding new members, member services, and support.
  • Collaborate with Vice President of Advertising and Strategic Partnerships to draft proposals to prospects.
  • Actively and collaboratively participate in regularly scheduled individual, departmental, and organizational team meetings.
  • Provide regular sales updates to the Vice President of Advertising and Strategic Partnerships, on sales and pipeline activity at weekly meetings and through maintaining renewal reports.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a problem solver, a negotiator, and a closer!
  • 3+ total years’ experience in advertising sales (print and digital experience preferred)
  • Well-developed technological skills (PC, Internet, MS Office, CRM-Salesforce preferred)
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Service-oriented and client-focused
  • Demonstrates high energy & persistence
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Possess a positive attitude and be comfortable working in an independent environment while also being part of a team
