We are so excited to introduce the newest member of the IFA conferences team- Jeanine Littrel! Jeanine is serving as our Senior Director of Conferences & Meetings, and is here to make sure our members get the most out of IFA events.

Before you meet Jeanine at our upcoming Convention, get to know her in our Q&A!

Q: Where are you from?

A: I’m originally from New York City and relocated to Bethesda, MD with my previous employer in July 2010. I also lived in North Carolina during my teen years and attended the University of NC at Greensboro.

Q: Where is the best place you’ve ever traveled?

A: This is a tough one as I have been fortunate to travel to many international destinations. While my favorite place is Florence, Italy; Singapore is an amazing city and standing on the equator line in Ecuador was a pretty cool experience.

Q: What are you most excited about for your position at the IFA?

A: I am excited to learn more about the franchise industry and work for a member-based organization. Of course, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the conference and meetings team to plan and execute the annual convention. Most importantly, I’m eager to get to know the many task force committees who develop the content to meet the educational needs of IFA attendees.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to me. I am a member of Soldierfit, which is a franchise company, where they put my fitness to the test during their daily hour-long boot camp sessions. Spending time with my husband and son is a priority for me. We are a hockey family, so we are either watching my son play or cheering on the Washington Capitals!

Q: Why is it important for franchise professionals to come to IFA 2020?

A: For starters, two words…SIMON SINEK! If you haven’t seen his Ted Talk’s on Youtube, I encourage you to look it up. This is a must see for all, especially if you are a leader in your organization. Whether you are a franchisor, franchisee, or supplier, the IFA Annual Convention is an investment in your business, and most importantly, you as a professional. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience thought provoking and motivating speakers, learning from your peers in breakout sessions and round tables as well as meeting new vendors or clients that can help support your business to operate successfully.
