Cresanti's Corner: The Importance of Attending FAN 2019

President & CEO Update

If you're not already registered for franchising's most important advocacy event, IFA's Franchise Action Network (FAN) Annual Meeting, Sept. 9-11 in Washington, DC, then please keep reading. I'll share with you why I think you need to be in attendance and participate.

As a franchise professional, you live and breathe this unique business model that provides your livelihood, cultivates your entrepreneurial spirit and celebrates your success. When this business model that means so much to us is under attack due to burdensome legislation, it’s our duty to take action.

The Franchise Action Network (FAN) Annual Meeting is where we will get the opportunity to stand up for franchising. Hundreds of IFA members will descend upon Capitol Hill and meet with lawmakers to share the stories of your brands. It’s imperative to remind them that policies in Washington affect your bottom line.

By attending this event, you’ll be showcasing the power of your brand to those who have the ability to make or break franchising in regard to issues such as joint employer and trademark protection. Our legislative and advocacy work benefits us all, and it’s important to use this opportunity with your elected officials to highlight your business and the impact these issues could have on your future success.

I truly believe that if we stick together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. To find out more information and register, please visit franchise.org/fan. I look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC, September 9-11. Franchise owners – this event is free for you.

Sincerely,

Robert Cresanti, CFE
