Two Men And A Truck Executive Named to Franchise Association Board

WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 10 – Two Men And A Truck CEO Melanie Bergeron has been named to the International Franchise Association’s board of directors. She will assume her duties during the association’s 48th annual convention being conducted at the Marriott World Center in Orlando.
Founded nearly 50 years ago, IFA is the oldest and largest trade group that protects, enhances and promotes franchising across the globe. Its membership includes more than 1,300 franchise companies, more than 10,000 franchisees and 500 suppliers of products and services to the industry.
Bergeron began her career as the company’s first franchisee in 1989. When the company reached 39 franchises in 1994, founder Mary Ellen Sheets, Bergeron’s mother, asked her to lead the company as president. She became CEO in 2007. The company currently has more than 200 franchise locations operating 1,300 trucks.
In addition to her position with Two Men And A Truck, Bergeron is actively involved in the community in various capacities. Her efforts include serving as education chairwoman of the Franchising Network of the Young Presidents Organization, a member of IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee, on the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives’ board of governors, and an executive board member of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
