Ryan Kennedy is the Manager of Public Affairs & Grassroots Advocacy at the International Franchise Association (IFA). In this role, his main responsibilities involve the development and maintenance of the Franchise Action Network (FAN), IFA’s national grassroots advocacy program. He oversees the recruitment and engagement of FAN’s State Action Captains – franchise owners and executives in all 50 states dedicated to protecting, promoting, and enhancing the franchise business model. Prior to joining IFA, Ryan spent two years at the Direct Selling Association (DSA) focusing on regulatory issues on the Federal and International levels where he engaged in several trade agreement negotiations such as TISA and TPP. He also brings nearly two years of experience from the Burger King Franchisee Association where he focused on federal labor and employment policies. Originally from Columbia, MD, Ryan graduated from the University of Maryland in 2011 and currently resides in Washington, D.C.
