I am a small multi-unit franchisee of both Money Mailer and IHOP (DineEquity). I have been self-employed for most of my career and have owned and continue to own businesses outside of franchising. I believe in and enjoy the franchising model and feel it important to keep the model strong. I try to do my small part by serving on the Franchise Relations Committee and Franchise Forum while attending as many IFA events during the year as fit in my schedule. Advocacy, especially by franchisees, is very effective at the state and federal level. It is very important franchisees share their message so I find time to educate legislators on our needs and challenges.

Joe Bourdow, CFE, Senior Advisor, Valpak
Joe’s forty year business career includes more than three decades in franchising as well as broadcasting and sport marketing.
Joe was a radio station owner, early multi-unit franchisee in the Valpak System and at Fastsigns International in the 1980’s before joining the Valpak home office as a senior executive in 1991. He served as President of Valpak from 1996 until his retirement in 2010.
Since then, Joe has started new company with broadcasting and marketing interests in professional baseball as well as college football and basketball.

Harvey H. H. Homsey, vice president of Franchise Systems for Express Services, Inc., the franchisor for Express Employment Professionals, joined Express in 1989. John Kersh is the Chief Development Officer for Pure Barre, one of the world’s leading boutique fitness brands with nearly 500 locations in the US and Canada. Mr. Patinkin has been an executive, consultant and board member for over 30 years, including both public and private companies. He has extensive operating experience in multi-unit retail and specialty food franchising. Matthew currently sits on three boards, participating in all aspects of strategic growth and development. He also sits on the IFA Franchisee Forum, and is active in several committees, including the International Committee. Mike Skitzki, CFE, COO, Franworth
Michael has spent nearly 15 years in the franchise industry. He joined the Ann Arbor-based Service Brands International in 2003 and later became senior development manager, overseeing franchise development for its Molly Maid and DUCTZ brands. He worked with John Rotche to form the Belfor Franchise Group, parent company to DUCTZ and HOODZ, and served as its Vice President beginning in 2010. With his systemization, DUCTZ and HOODZ each grew into the largest in their industry within three years.
