WASHINGTON, Feb. 8, 2010—Bill Hall, CFE, a multi-unit Dairy Queen franchisee in Fort Worth, Texas, has been elected to the International Franchise Association’s Board of Directors. He will assume the position Feb. 8 at the conclusion of the IFA 50th Annual Convention in San Antonio.
Hall has a career of over 30 years as an entrepreneur and investor. Currently operating five Dairy Queen locations in Texas, Hall has been a multi-unit franchisee of Dairy Queen, Church’s Chicken and Mr. Jim’s Pizza with over 80 units at one time. In addition to his franchisee experience, he has owned and operated community banks in Texas, independent restaurant concepts, a nationwide transportation company, financial services companies and real estate investments.
Bill Hall served as the president of the Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council for multiple terms, representing over 800 Dairy Queen Restaurants in Texas, and is a member of the International Dairy Queen National Dealer Marketing Council.
He is a Certified Franchise Executive, past chairman of the IFA Franchisee Forum, served multiple terms on the IFA Board of Directors, serves as member of the IFA Educational Foundation, serves as the Co-Chairman of the National Franchise Mediation Program, and is a member of the Small Business Advisory Council to the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Hall served as the chairman of the 2008 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona and is a member of the Multi-Unit Franchising Conference Board of Directors.
Hall is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with an accounting degree from the University of Texas. He began his career with the national public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He is active in the Fort Worth, Texas community where he recently received the Preservation Achievement Award for developing a comprehensive urban gas lease agreement for use by Fort Worth neighborhoods.
